PADI Advanced Open Water Course

 

This course can be taken after completing the Basic Open Water Course.  You do not have to be an "advanced diver" to take this course, it is designed to advance your skills.  Whether you have five dives, or one hundred, this course will meet you where your skills are, and advance your diving from there, as well as broaden your awareness of the environment you're diving in.  

     This class consists of independent book work and five open water dives, including a Peak Performance Buoyancy dive, Navigation dive, Night dive, Deep dive, and Search and Recovery Dive.

Cost:     $300

Includes:     Included in the cost of the course is all classroom time and materials, and all pool time and equipment needed.  Also included are all certification fees. 

Additional Costs:     Students are responsible for costs associated with the open water weekend including, but not limited to: gas, food, accommodation, and air fills.

     Students are also responsible for renting, or providing, their own equipment for the open water weekend. Students must purchase/ supply their own dive lights (including a primary, back-up, and tank marker light), compass, cutting device, dive computer and a dive slate.

Requirements:  

  • Must be 12 years or older

  • Must be comfortable in water

  • Must be Basic Open Water Certified

Location:    Classroom session is completed at home by eLearning or in a class group setting in the Portland metro area. The pool sessions will be held at a local pool in the Portland metro area. and the open water weekend checkout dives are located in the Hood Canal or Puget Sound in Washington.

Available Classes

Advanced Open Water weekend will be in either Puget Sound or Hood Cannel. You will need to schedule an individual time to go over remote paperwork and book learning requirements.
